Quality Study of Magnoliae Flos Standard Decoction

Abstract: Objective To establish the quality control method for Magnoliae Flos standard decoction, and to provide references for the quality control protocol of Magnoliae Flos dispensing granules. Methods Twelve batches of Magnoliae Flos standard decoction were prepared. The content of volatile oil was determined according to the methods in Chinese Pharmacopoeia (2015Ed). Ultra-high performance liquid chromatography (UPLC) - diode array detector was used to determine the content of magnolin, and the paste rate and transfer rate were calculated. UPLC fingerprint was analyzed by using Similarity Evaluation System for Chromatographic Fingerprint of Traditional Chinese Medicine (2004A). Results The contents of volatile oil of 12 batches of Magnoliae Flos standard decoction were all more than 1.0% (mL/g), the extraction rates were 14.0%–19.7%, and the transfer rates of magnolin were 6.61%?36.63%. Moreover, 4 common chromatographic peaks were determined based on their fingerprints. The similarity of 12 batches of samples was all higher than 0.9. Conclusion The quality of 12 batches of Magnoliae Flos standard decoction is stable, the fingerprint similarity is high, and the precision, stability and repeatability of the method are good, which can provide references for the quality control of Magnoliae Flos dispensing granules., http://www.100md.com(廖鹏飞 王亚杰 郝单丽 刘丽 赵庆贺)
