Pullerits R與Papagrigoraki A的研究证实，全血、血浆及滑膜腔的晚期糖基化终产物的水平能够被准确测定[19-20]。从而为抑制晚期糖基化终产物的产生提供了依据。Kumar S的研究证实，长期应用阿司匹林能够减少衰老相关疾病，包括动脉粥样硬化、糖尿病及肿瘤，所导致的死亡，同时能够延长老年患者的生存时间[21]。Zhenda也报道肾素-血管紧张素拮抗剂洛沙坦(Ang Ⅱ receptor blocker-losartan)，作为另一种晚期糖基化终产物亦能够在内皮细胞内降低AGEs的表达[22]。Stirban报道苯磷硫胺(Benfotiamine)能够降低糖尿病患者血管内皮细胞的AGEs[23]。ALT-711(alagebrium chloride)被认为是最有前景的下一代抗衰老药物，它能够催化破坏AGEs交联。大量研究表明，其能减轻衰老相关疾病，如扩张型心衰、糖尿病肾病[24-25]。奥利司他(Orlistat)是一种强效和长效的特异性胃肠道脂肪酶抑制剂，亦是抗AGEs药物。Diamanti-Kandarakis的研究表明，奥利司他能够显著降低正常人及多囊卵巢综合征患者体内AGEs的水平[26]。

综上所述，尽管“功能医学”饱受争论，但取其精华去其糟粕，其部分理论和实践技术是值得我们借鉴的，特别是它与抗衰老医学相结合，能够产生交叉学科融合的创新领域。即通过不同蛋白、分子、基因水平的检测，根据患者个体化的需求，选择个性化的治疗方案，以达到延缓衰老、抑制衰老相关疾病的目的。无论“功能医学”还是抗衰老医学均处于起步阶段，需要相关业者提高自身素质，净化行业环境，为患者提供高质量的医疗服务。
